A Letter to Future me! 

I hope this finds you well, Here in late April, 2020 we are in lockdown because of Covid-19. Nobody is allowed to go outside other than for essentials such as medicines and groceries.

 We are allowed to travel two kilometres for walks and exercise. Everyone is panic buying canned beans, bottled water and toilet paper. We are not allowed to see our friends or distant family. We are having lots more family gatherings over zoom. I don't know how many lockdowns you've had since now? Maybe you're in quarantine because of Covid-30 right now! But I hope you're not. I don't know if I will be able to return to my primary school before the summer holidays, and if this lockdown goes on for longer will I be able to go to my secondary school in September? Only you know! 

By the time you're reading this I would hope to have finished secondary school and moved onto college. Although I don't know what I want to do as a career now, I hope that I have chosen something interesting, and I hope that I will do an interesting course with a diverse group of friends.

David's 2030 Letter 

Dear me in 10 years!

Hi me I’m writing (actually typing this) because WE ARE IN LOCK DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This means that we cannot go outside except for walks and mum or dad can go shopping, only food shopping.  And we have to stay at least 2 meters away from each other.

School closed on 12th March and I haven’t been back since then, (almost 7 weeks).  Mum is now my teacher and she isn’t doing too bad.  This letter is one of my assignments.  

I haven’t seen my friends since school closed.  I have talked to some of them on the phone.  

I miss my friends and can’t wait to see them again.

I will not be having a birthday party this year as this Corona virus is stopping everyone from coming to my house.  At least I’ll still get cake and hopefully some presents.

Hopefully this is nearly at an end.

I plan to open this letter to myself in 2030, on my 21st Birthday.  

Hi Gavin

Hope you remember the coronavirus.  It was the worst time.  Social distancing.  It was terrible.  Stuck at home with my sister Meghan.  I missed my school and seeing my friends.  I hope that there is a vaccine for coronavirus in the future.  The coronavirus is STUPID.   I cycle my bike.  I walk Gidget our dog.  I do my homework.  I use a lot of technology and batteries.  

I hope my future self is studying to be an architect as I love designing houses.  I hope in the future that there are flying cars and floating pizza.
